Courageous Women Association provides trauma-informed programs, transitional housing, education, and empowerment opportunities that help women rebuild their lives after trauma and create pathways toward stability, independence, and economic security.

We provide support services, transitional housing, economic resources, and empowerment to women and children impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, prostitution & human trafficking, homelessness, and incarceration. We offer enrichment through a wide variety of programs & services designed to educate, bring awareness, and provide the necessary skills, tools, and resources to help shape and improve the quality of life that leads to wellness, recovery, and self-sufficiency.
Our mission is to help women and children heal from violent environments and achieve self-sufficiency through holistic support, including career development, housing, and financial assistance.
Our Vision is to create a world free from violence, exploitation and homelessness.
Who We Serve
Founded in 2008, Courageous Women Association (CWA) has been dedicated to supporting women and children impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, homelessness, former incarceration, exploitation, and other life-altering adversities.
Through our trauma-informed programs and supportive services, we help survivors move beyond crisis toward healing, stability, independence, and renewed hope.
In addition, our Career Development & Economic Empowerment Program (CDEEP) serves women, men, gender-diverse, and non-binary individuals who are overcoming barriers to employment and economic stability, including poverty, unemployment, homelessness, veteran status, disability, undocumented status, previous incarceration, and recovery from addiction.
We believe every individual deserves access to opportunities that promote healing, empowerment, self-sufficiency, and a pathway toward a stronger future.
